Be(you)tiful is a social media campaign created by our team as a platform to inspire women to regain their voices and to stop comparing themselves to others on social media. “Like most girls, I compare myself to other people who do what I do. There are days when I am looking at other girls’ feeds and I think, oh, I want those abs. Or I want this and that. But it is an unrealistic expectation, because I meet a lot of people in real life who don’t look anything like they do on Instagram. Most of the time I just have to remind myself that this is not even real.” says Ireland.
The Dove Global Beauty and Confidence Report, which interviewed 10,500 females across 13 countries, found that women’s confidence in their bodies is on a steady decline, with low body esteem becoming a unifying challenge shared by women and girls around the world – regardless of age or geography.
We really enjoyed getting to know Ireland a little bit more and spending a beautiful and sunny afternoon with her. She embraced our campaign and mission to inspire girls to love themselves and find their own true and authentic beauty.
